Huge thanks to all who shared a picture for the Sisters Not Strangers video – please do share far and wide – and please share the link to this page, where you can find a draft letter to send to your MP: https://www.sistersnotstrangers.com/actnow

Please send a photo of solidarity – lifeline Wednesday Sept 30th!
All I need is a photograph of you with a sign saying ‘Sisters Not Strangers’ or ‘#SistersNotStrangers’. You can write this on an A4 piece of paper, or an old envelope – as long as we can read the words. If you would like to be involved but don’t feel able to include your face, please do send a picture with only your hands in view with the words, or a scarf that tells us you are with us.
Please send me your photo by Wednesday Sept 30th so we can get the message out ASAP. You can send pictures to me at singlouderthanguns@gmail.com or if it’s easier to whatsapp them to me, send a message to my email or through the contact form and I’ll give you a mobile number to send it to.
The idea for this video came from some of the women at Joyous Choir in Glasgow, who wanted to share some of the strength and solidarity they feel from singing the Sisters Not Strangers song together, virtually, during this weird time. You can meet some of them here:
We also want to use the song and the message of solidarity to encourage people to action – so we will be sharing the video alongside tools leading people to read the words of refugee and asylum seeking women in the UK seeking an end to destitution, and to empower people to write to their MPs to make real changes to the current system. Everybody deserves a safe home.
Please send me a photo of solidarity!
I am working with the women of the Sisters Not Strangers campaign, a campaign led by refugee and asylum-seeking women working to end destitution in the UK. Everybody deserves a safe home, and we are making a video to show solidarity with women across Scotland and the UK and to energise people to write to their MPs to urgently change the current system.
