Songs for Sharing

[Note, March 2020: Please bear with me, as this site is still under construction.]

Here is where you will find songs for sharing. I update these pages on a monthly basis so do keep checking back for new songs.

Some of my radical and campaigning songs for choirs are on the Protest in Harmony website, which has many other songs as well. More of my campaigning songs for choirs and groups can be found here. Other topical songs for groups and some of the lyrics for my more radical solo songs can be found here.

Shorter harmony songs on a variety of themes for group singing can be found here.

Arrangements of traditional and older songs for harmony singing can be found here.

Copyright

I feel similarly to Woody Guthrie when it comes to the singing and sharing of my songs. Woody printed this in a lyric booklet in the 1930s:

“This song is Copyrighted in U.S., under Seal of Copyright # 154085, for a period of 28 years, and anybody caught singin it without our permission, will be mighty good friends of ours, cause we don’t give a dern. Publish it. Write it. Sing it. Swing to it. Yodel it. We wrote it, that’s all we wanted to do.”

That said, I do have bills to pay, so if you’re able to contribute to my work, you can do so below.

The songs I have made available here are free for you to sing and share. Please do. If you publicly perform any of my songs (with choirs as well as solo), please remember to log the info to PRS so that I can get the royalties – every little helps!
